Kyle Uchitel, founder, writer and editor of Island House and Yard, and realtor in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kyle Uchitel first came to Hawaii In 1988 as a sponsored surfer with team Quicksilver. In 1990 he made the permanent move from Los Angeles, California to the North Shores of Oahu. Uchitel has held many interesting jobs such as team manager for major surf label brands working with top athletes, including world champion Sunny Garcia. Kyle Uchitel has also served five summers as a California State Lifeguard, and five years as a bell man, valet, and private butler at the prestigious Turtle Bay Resort.

Most recently, he has been noted as the Owner and founder of Hawaii Dolphin Tours, one of the top twenty tour companies on Oahu (per TripAdvisor). Buying his first home on Kauai in 2004 was a significant push to become a licensed Realtor and follow his passion of helping people achieve their dreams. Kyle Uchitel was trained and taught by one of Oahu’s top brokerage companies: Doug Davis Realty on all aspects of sales, phone etiquette, and team culture.

Uchitel’s most notable real property sales include seven oceanfront homes and condos on Oahu, a 16 unit apartment building in Waikiki, and an investment FLIP he purchased himself in Mililani. The main bonus of this career is the opportunity to help many interesting clients from all walks of life, continuing education, and being involved with a team of professionals.
